DU Confirms 67,582 Seats in Third Allotment as Over 9,000 Remain Unfilled

Publication of ECA, sports and CW allocation lists on August 15 precedes a final fee payment deadline of August 19.

  • The Centralised Seat Allocation System’s third round confirmed 67,582 undergraduate admissions across 79 programmes, including 7,061 performance-based seats for programmes such as music, BFA and physical education.
  • More than 9,000 seats remain vacant following rejections for improper documents and non-strategic preference listings, with several off-campus colleges reporting the highest number of unfilled spots.
  • DU closed its mid-entry window on August 10 after allowing applicants who missed earlier rounds to register for a Rs 1,000 fee.
  • Allocation lists for Extra-Curricular Activities, sports quotas and Children/Wards of University employees will be released on August 15, with candidates indicating willingness from August 13 to August 17.
  • Students must verify documents and pay acceptance fees by 4:59 pm on August 19 to secure their seats or face forfeiture ahead of mop-up rounds.
