The defendant admitted to selling cocaine in his pizzeria but denied the existence of a specific menu item marketed as 'Pizza 40.'
Authorities discovered 1.6 kilograms of cocaine, over 200 grams of cannabis, and €263,000 in cash during a raid on the owner's apartment in March 2024.
The defendant claimed the cocaine sales were limited to friends and acquaintances and typically took place in the back area of the pizzeria.
The pizzeria has since been closed, and the defendant faces charges of commercial drug trafficking, with four additional court dates scheduled.
