Drunk Driver Crashes Ferrari Into Richardson Bay in Marin County

The 61-year-old driver lost control on a curve, sending the luxury car airborne before landing in the bay; DUI charges are being recommended.

The crash occurred Friday afternoon on Seminary Drive in unincorporated Mill Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The driver, identified as Jeff Neugebauer, 61, was allegedly intoxicated when he failed to navigate a curve, causing the Ferrari to go airborne and land in Richardson Bay.
No fatal injuries were reported, and authorities expressed relief that the incident did not harm others.
A tow truck crew successfully recovered the mud-covered, totaled Ferrari from the bay during low tide.
CHP plans to recommend DUI charges to the Marin County District Attorney and used the incident to remind the public to avoid drunk driving during the holiday season.
