Drunk Driver Charged with Murder After Crashing into Long Island Nail Salon, Killing Four

Steven Schwally, 64, drove at 78 mph and had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit, say prosecutors.

Schwally faces a 38-count indictment including second-degree murder and vehicular manslaughter charges.
The crash killed an off-duty NYPD officer and three others, injuring nine more, including a child.
Schwally had been drinking for over five hours and bought liquor earlier on the day of the crash.
He has a prior DWI conviction and was living in hotels for over a year.
