Drops of God Wins Best Drama at 2024 International Emmy Awards

The French-American-Japanese series triumphed over India's The Night Manager and other global nominees at the prestigious event hosted by Vir Das in New York City.

• The 52nd International Emmy Awards celebrated outstanding TV programs produced outside the U.S. in 2023, featuring nominees from 21 countries across 14 categories.
• Drops of God, a French-American-Japanese series about a high-stakes wine inheritance, won Best Drama Series, beating India's The Night Manager, Australia's The Newsreader, and Argentina's Iosi, El Espía Arrepentido.
• The Night Manager, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Sobhita Dhulipala, was India's sole nominee and is adapted from John le Carré's novel and the British series of the same name.
• Indian comedian Vir Das made history as the first Indian to host the International Emmy Awards, which were held at the New York Hilton Midtown.
• Other notable winners included Pianoforte for Arts Programming, Timothy Spall for Best Actor in The Sixth Commandment, and División Palermo for Best Comedy.
