Overview

• Volunteer pilot Dallas Fuhrman of Nighthawk Drone Services located the dog around 3 a.m. Wednesday in a York County cornfield after two days of sightings and evasions.
• Rescuers removed the jar and rushed her to Shores Veterinary Emergency Center, where staff began treatment for severe dehydration and heavy tick exposure.
• Canine Rescue of Central PA said a vet called her resilient, and early bloodwork looks pretty good as she starts slow refeeding and stabilization.
• The rescue named her Dallas in honor of the pilot, with some outlets using Dallas Cheddar, and she is not available for adoption at this time.
• Find Toby in PA helped coordinate reports while drone teams, including Bill Fisher of Drone Deployment Services, assisted, and the rescue is raising about $3,500 for her care.
