- Local police and 061 medical teams used a defibrillator to revive the driver at the scene after signs of a heart attack.
- The approximately 70-year-old driver was conscious upon evacuation to Povisa hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
- No pedestrians were harmed despite the vehicle crossing multiple lanes and at least one crosswalk.
- A municipal crane had the car removed from the water by 10 AM, clearing the plaza.
