Overview
- The Will County coroner named the victim as Makenna M. Maurisak of Manhattan and said an autopsy is scheduled Friday to determine the final cause and manner of death.
- The collision occurred Thursday morning around 8:20 a.m. near Manhattan-Monee Road just west of School House Road, according to officials.
- Ten students and the bus driver were evaluated at the scene and taken to Silver Cross Hospital as a precaution, with no major injuries reported.
- District 114 said all students were released to their families by early afternoon and lanes that were closed for the investigation reopened near 1 p.m.
