Overview
- On July 19, three masked assailants forced entry into the ex-NSG officer’s Chandni Chowk home after an accomplice named Sunil called out a family member’s name.
- They ransacked the house at gunpoint, tying and gagging the officer’s grandson before escaping with jewellery valued at about Rs 50 lakh and $3,550 in cash.
- Police traced the prime suspect on CCTV to boarding the Delhi Metro to Noida City Centre and riding a scooter registered to driver Alok Kumar Mishra.
- Mishra, 35, was arrested in Noida on Tuesday and the firearm used in the raid was recovered from his possession.
- Investigators are still tracking two accomplices and have yet to recover any of the stolen valuables.
