Driver Faces Attempted Murder Charges After SUV Crashes Into Inglewood CarMax

Andrew Jesus Arroyo allegedly drove into the dealership showroom, injuring eight people, including one left comatose, before fleeing the scene.

Andrew Jesus Arroyo, 25, has been charged with attempted murder, nine counts of assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run causing injury, and vandalism related to the crash.
The incident occurred on March 8, 2025, at a CarMax dealership in Inglewood, California, where Arroyo allegedly reversed his SUV into the showroom and drove out the other side.
Eight people were injured in the crash, with two in critical condition; one victim suffered paralysis and a brain injury, leaving them comatose.
CarMax stated that Arroyo's behavior turned erratic but was not perceived as related to a vehicle appraisal he had received earlier that day.
Arroyo turned himself in to authorities after fleeing the scene and is currently being held without bail, with his next court hearing scheduled for later this month.
