  • The blaze broke out around 2 am near the Swaminarayan Temple in Narhe after a passenger spotted smoke.
  • The driver pulled over and evacuated everyone, then tried a fire extinguisher as flames spread from the bonnet to the cabin.
  • A bystander alerted the fire control room at about 1:57 am, according to the Sinhagad Road station officer.
  • PMC and PMRDA fire teams reached quickly, controlled the fire, and police later restored traffic after a brief jam.
  • PMC fire officer Devendra Potphode credited the driver’s quick action with preventing a disaster, and no injuries were reported.
