Police say a brief pursuit preceded the Tottenham crash, prompting routine referrals to watchdogs.

  • Officers attempted to stop a vehicle of interest on Pretoria Road at 00:52, pursued it for about 60 seconds, lost sight of it, then found it had crashed with another car.
  • The driver, Marwaan Mohamed Huseen, 19, of Argyle Road, Tottenham, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, and failing to stop.
