Driver Arrested After Reckless Thar Rampage in Noida Sector 16

A 33-year-old man was detained for driving a Mahindra Thar through a busy car market, damaging multiple vehicles but causing no injuries.

The incident occurred on March 10 at Noida's Sector 16 car market, where the driver rammed into several parked and moving vehicles, including bikes and scooters.
The driver, identified as Sachin Kumar Lohia, reportedly became enraged after an argument over a speaker installation and drove recklessly through the market.
A 12-second video of the rampage went viral, showing the Thar hitting multiple vehicles, narrowly missing pedestrians, and speeding away on the wrong side of the road.
No injuries were reported, but the police confiscated the vehicle, issued an e-challan of ₹38,500 for traffic violations, and registered multiple charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The incident sparked public outrage online, with many criticizing reckless driving culture and demanding stricter enforcement of traffic laws.
