- Windsor Police were called to assist Canada Border Services Agency inspection lanes after a driver failed to stop at the Ambassador Bridge checkpoint.
- Officers say the driver became combative, refused to exit, then sped away, struck multiple barriers and flipped the vehicle.
- One Windsor Police officer and one CBSA officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries and no other injuries were reported.
- The 32-year-old suspect fled on foot but was quickly arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, obstructing a peace officer, and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
