Overview
- A 29-year-old Lincoln Park woman was taken into custody after a cross-county pursuit early Thursday along U.S. 24/North Telegraph Road.
- Flat Rock police initiated the chase near the Wayne–Monroe county line before Monroe County deputies located the SUV heading north and attempted a stop around 1:08 a.m.
- Deputies deployed stop sticks near South Huron River Drive, deflating multiple tires as the driver continued at varying speeds up to 70 mph.
- The driver made a U-turn, struck a Monroe County patrol vehicle head-on, then drove on the rims through multiple parking lots before stopping at a car wash in the 26700 block of North Telegraph Road.
- She was arrested on charges including fleeing and eluding, felonious assault on a police officer, operating under the influence of drugs, resisting and obstructing, possession of methamphetamine, and driving with a suspended license; Flat Rock and South Rockwood police assisted.
