  • Patterson Hood confirmed the group will play a song with former member Jason Isbell on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
  • The Definitive Decoration Day arrives Friday as a four-LP package featuring a new David Barbe remix, a 40-page book with an essay by Stephen Deusner, and the unreleased double live album Heathens Live at Flicker Bar.
  • Hood called it their first “announced” appearance together in nearly 20 years, presenting the spot as a celebration of what he considers the band’s masterpiece.
  • Isbell joined the band in late 2001 for the Decoration Day era, left in 2007 to launch a solo career, and has only made occasional surprise cameos such as at Shoalsfest 2021.
  • The Truckers are currently off the road, with Hood on a solo run through Nov. 22, while Isbell’s next extensive tour begins Jan. 14, 2026, in Durham, N.C.
