- DRI officers, acting on intelligence and supported by the Railway Protection Force, intercepted the suspect around 9:30 am in an AC coach of the Amritsar–CSTM Express at Bhopal Junction.
- A search of her luggage yielded approximately 368.9 grams of crystalline methamphetamine and 147.4 grams of cocaine, which tested positive using an NDPS field kit.
- The contraband was seized under the NDPS Act, 1985, and the Ugandan national was arrested on the spot.
