- Speaking publicly for the first time since his Oct. 11 injury, Allar said rehab is progressing well but he would not predict readiness for the Senior Bowl on Jan. 31 or the NFL Combine in late February.
- Interim coach Terry Smith said Allar attends every meeting, travels with the team, and has been a major resource for starter Ethan Grunkemeyer, who entered Nebraska week with 689 passing yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions.
- Under current NCAA rules Allar has no remaining eligibility after playing more than four games in each of four seasons, leaving a return to college play dependent on waivers or potential legal changes still to be determined.
