Dresden Prepares for 100th Semperopernball Celebration

The milestone event on February 7 will feature a revamped format, star-studded performances, and a gala in the historic Semperoper.

The Semperopernball 2025 marks its 100th anniversary, with all events taking place exclusively inside the Semperoper for the first time.
The gala will feature performances by Max Giesinger, Till Brönner, and Purple Disco Machine, with Golda Schulz debuting a solo and duet performance.
Prominent guests include Katarina Witt, Heino, Anna Ermakova, and Tom Wlaschiha, with Martina Gedeck receiving the Choros Award for contributions to art and culture.
New additions include the Semper Dance Club in the opera's basement and the transformation of the opera hall into the Fledermaus-Bar for late-night dancing.
An open-air celebration on Theaterplatz will include live music, a Charleston dance lesson, and a fireworks display, all free for the public to enjoy.
