The Dresden funicular railway will resume operations on Saturday, April 5, 2025, after completing its scheduled spring maintenance.
Key maintenance included inspection and renewal of the 610-meter traction cable, with 30 centimeters recast at both ends for stability.
Minor structural repairs, such as fixing cracks in station flooring, were addressed, requiring temporary removal of safety fences.
An emergency power generator test was successfully conducted to ensure passenger safety during potential power outages.
The funicular railway will operate daily, with weekday hours from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM and weekend hours from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
