Overview

  • Jean Pormanove, 46, born Raphaël Graven, died in his sleep on August 18 near Nice during day ten of a marathon broadcast, and the stream was cut after he was found unresponsive.
  • Adin Ross said on X that he and Drake will pay for the funeral, a gesture he called the least they could do, while Drake has not issued a separate public statement.
  • Nice prosecutors say there is nothing suspicious at this stage, and authorities have ordered an autopsy as part of an ongoing investigation into the death.
  • France’s digital technologies minister said the case was referred to media regulator Arcom after reports that the stream involved humiliation and mistreatment, and she contacted Kick for an explanation.
  • Kick stated it is urgently reviewing the circumstances with relevant stakeholders, and fellow streamer Owen Cenazandotti urged people not to share footage of Pormanove’s final moments.
