Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Becomes Fastest-Selling Game in Series History

The 3D arena fighter has surpassed 5 million units sold globally in under four months since its release.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has sold over 5 million copies worldwide since its October 2024 release, making it the fastest-selling game in the franchise's history.
The game is the first new entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series in over 15 years, developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco.
Its success is attributed to a massive roster of nearly 200 characters, destructible arenas, faithful adaptation of the source material, and engaging gameplay modes.
The first DLC, Hero of Justice, has been released, adding 11 new characters, a new game mode, and additional cosmetics, with two more DLCs planned to expand the roster further.
Approximately 90% of the game's sales have come from Europe and North America, solidifying its popularity in Western markets.
