Dracula Land Proposed Near Bucharest as Investors Sought for €1 Billion Vampire Theme Park

Plans describe a six-land park within a wider resort concept with a 2026–2027 target dependent on financing.

Overview

  • The venture is presented as a roughly €1 billion project on a 780,000-square-metre site about 20 minutes from central Bucharest and 15 minutes from Henri Coandă International Airport.
  • Developer Dragoș Dobrescu is leading the proposal, with design by Creative Studio Berlin, whose portfolio includes the Thea Award-winning Secret Laboratory.
  • Concept art shows six themed areas—Moonlit District, Family Kingdom, Transylvania, Dracula’s Castle, Port of New Orleans, and London Town—with around 40 attractions.
  • Proposed attractions include the Flight of the Bat Wing and Werewolf Run roller coasters, the Going Batty interactive dark ride, a flying theater, a drone show, parkour experiences, hotels, and a Hollywood vampires exhibition.
  • The broader destination pitch features three Dracula-themed hotels, an aqua park and thermal spa, a motor racing track, a luxury outlet, a 22,500-seat arena, and a metaverse using DraculaCoin, with industry coverage stressing that the project is unproven and investor-dependent.
