• Dr Jitendra Singh held a nearly three-hour Public Durbar at Basohli to engage directly with citizens, resolve grievances on the spot and reinforce participatory governance.
• He announced an AIIMS Jammu Outreach Centre in Basohli, promising round-the-clock super-speciality and emergency services with location and staffing details to be finalised.
• Plans include widening the strategically vital Dhar Road to improve commuter and security movement and reviving the Ujh Multipurpose Project to boost irrigation, power generation and border-area security.
• A separate Basohli-Billawar district remains a top agenda for the next J&K District Reorganisation Committee, and a heritage town proposal has been sent to UT authorities for central consideration.
• Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas and senior officials were directed to fast-track project rollouts and monitor progress to ensure timely implementation.
