DPIIT Targets Bottlenecks in ₹36,296 Crore Gujarat and Rajasthan Projects

  • DPIIT reviewed 22 bottlenecks across 18 infrastructure projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan valued at ₹36,296 crore.
  • The Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for solar power evacuation has a ₹14,147 crore investment to link Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Barmer, Surendranagar, Patan and Kutch zones to the national grid.
  • Officials reviewed Reliance Jio’s 5G and 4G network expansion, designated a project of national importance to extend services to uncovered and remote areas.
  • The Project Monitoring Group mechanism was deployed to tackle right-of-way, land acquisition and forest clearance hurdles delaying project execution.
  • DPIIT Principal Economic Adviser Praveen Mahto chaired the session, urging proactive coordination among central ministries, state governments and private stakeholders for swift issue resolution.
