DP World Tour Suspends Marco Penge for Betting on Golf Events

The English golfer received a three-month suspension and fine for violating the tour's integrity rules by placing bets on professional golf tournaments.

Marco Penge, ranked 414th in the world, was penalized for betting on multiple golf events, excluding his own, which breached the DP World Tour's integrity program.
The suspension, effective December 13, 2024, will last three months, allowing Penge to return to competition on February 13, 2025.
Penge was fined £2,000 ($2,539), with the penalty reduced due to his cooperation and immediate admission of the breach.
The DP World Tour clarified that Penge's actions did not compromise the integrity of any tournaments he participated in.
Penge, who recently became a father, plans to use the suspension period to spend time with his family and focus on improving his game.
