Overview
- The DP World Tour unveiled the Rory McIlroy Award to recognize the season’s top performer across the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and The Open using majors-only Race to Dubai points.
- Tour officials said the award commemorates McIlroy becoming the first European to complete the career Grand Slam with his 2025 Masters victory.
- The season-ending DP World Tour Championship runs Nov. 13–16 at Jumeirah Golf Estates, offering 2,000 Race to Dubai points to the winner from a $10 million purse with $3 million to first place.
- McIlroy leads the standings by about 767 points over Marco Penge and 1,720 over Tyrrell Hatton; a win or solo second would secure his seventh season title, while Penge must win with McIlroy outside solo second to pass him.
- The Race to Dubai top 10 will share a $6 million bonus pool, and those players will also earn 2026 PGA Tour cards subject to eligibility requirements.
