Overview

  • An underground nest near the end of the bus loop at David Mindess Elementary was disturbed just before 8 a.m. as students exited buses.
  • Around 40 students and two staff members were stung, and some bees entered parts of the school building.
  • School nurses and the Ashland Fire Department provided care on scene, and families of affected students were notified.
