Doyoung Unveils Rock-Infused Album 'Soar' Before Military Service

The NCT vocalist tapped leading Korean rock artists for a 10-track record designed to sustain fan connections during his upcoming enlistment.

Overview

  • Doyoung released his second solo album, Soar, on June 9, featuring 10 tracks built around the theme of dreaming and transcendence.
  • He enlisted rock veterans Yoon Do-hyun of YB, Kim Yuna of Jaurim and Kim Jong-wan of Nell to deepen his band-driven musical identity.
  • The lead single, “Memory,” is a guitar-driven rock anthem penned by lyricist Kim Eana and composed by Seo Dong-hwan about cherishing shared moments.
  • He will launch his second solo Asia tour at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium on June 13–15 before visiting Japan, Singapore, Macau, Thailand and Taiwan.
  • As he prepares for mandatory military enlistment later this year, Doyoung hopes Soar will keep fans connected during his absence.
