Overview
- The three-alarm blaze began around 7:10 a.m. on the second floor of a mixed-use building in the 1700 block of Broadway in downtown Oakland.
- Four people were injured, including a firefighter with minor injuries, and three residents were hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
- Roughly 60 firefighters brought the fire under control by 8:40 a.m., and a fire watch remained in place until 6 p.m.
