Overview
- Gunfire erupted shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday inside Bar Zia Grill near 4th Street and 5th Avenue S.
- A 21-year-old man died at the scene, while two women and another man were treated at HCMC for noncritical injuries.
- Responding officers found a large, unruly crowd engaged in physical altercations inside and outside the bar.
- Additional units from multiple Minneapolis precincts and Hennepin County deputies assisted, and the scene was cleared just after 5 a.m. Wednesday.
- No arrests have been made in the shooting; one person was arrested on suspicion of obstructing officers, and Chief Brian O’Hara urged anyone with information to contact police.
