Overview

  • Aylesbury Crown Court imposed an extended 12-year term — nine years in prison plus three on licence — after Jason King pleaded guilty to GBH with intent and related offences.
  • On May 10, 2024 in School Close, Downley, he stabbed neighbour Alistair Mahwuto before firing crossbow bolts from an upstairs window and then chasing officers outside.
  • He shot PC Curtis Foster in the leg near an artery by a play area; the officer later reported lasting effects despite physical recovery.
  • Armed police ended the threat by shooting King in the abdomen after orders to drop the weapon, provided immediate first aid, and he was discharged from hospital 10 days later before being charged.
  • Police released doorbell and body‑worn video showing King brandishing a knife and the moment the officer was struck, and the IOPC had already cleared responding officers of wrongdoing.
