  • At 3:49 p.m., rescue teams retrieved an adult man unresponsive near Martinelli Beach after a paddleboard fall and pronounced him dead on scene.
  • The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office and its marine unit have launched separate investigations into the drownings and the paddleboard mishap.
  • Authorities have not released the victims’ identities and say both appeared to be visiting the area from outside Sonoma County.
