• The compilation features Michael Stipe—who recorded a new spoken word piece—and artists including Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Tyler Childers, Brittany Howard, Wilco and John Prine.
• Pre-orders opened on June 10 for a vinyl and digital release slated to ship late June and debut on July 3.
• All proceeds from the $46 project will support Democracy Forward’s legal work, which provides free representation for individuals and communities.
• Democracy Forward has used its litigation arsenal against Trump administration actions on immigration policy, federal funding freezes and a recent State Department–El Salvador migrant agreement.
