Bundesforschungsminister Dorothee Bär (CSU) erhält den Orden wider den tierischen Ernst. Sie kombiniere "Humor und Menschlichkeit" mit "echtem Rückgrat", hieß es zur Begründung. Verliehen wird der Preis im Januar.
