  • The outage began at 3:46 am CT and surged to more than 5,500 problem reports on Downdetector by 7:01 am CT.
  • Malfunctions in both the customer ordering app and the Dasher driver app rendered restaurants as closed and prevented orders from processing.
  • Frustrated customers reported stuck orders and many switched to rival services such as Uber Eats, while drivers saw error messages like “Unable to load data.”
  • DoorDash engineers applied state-by-state patches to bring incident reports down to about 2,800 by 7:47 am CT and roughly 500 by 8:19 am CT.
  • By 11 am EDT, the platform was operating normally nationwide and Downdetector reports had returned to baseline levels.
