Overview
- Donkey Kong Bananza will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 17, unveiling its story and mechanics in a June 18 Direct presentation.
- Pauline is confirmed as a playable sidekick whose singing builds “Bananergy” to transform Donkey Kong into creatures such as a super-strong Kong, speedy zebra and flight-capable ostrich.
- Players can smash and reshape destructible terrain, using gathered fragments to solve puzzles, construct platforms and unlock new abilities through a branching skill tree.
- Local two-player co-op leverages GameShare so a second player can join as Pauline on a separate console without owning the game.
- DK Artist creative mode lets users sculpt and paint 3D models using Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and a new Donkey Kong–Pauline amiibo unlocks exclusive in-game outfits and bonuses.
