Donetsk Marks Flag Day With 200-Meter Banner and Car Rally on Reopened Highway

RIA Novosti reported that more than 100 participants unfurled a 200-meter DNR flag in central Donetsk on October 25.
The banner was shown at the intersection of Postysheva Street and Ilyich Avenue by the Young Guard, according to the report.
A day earlier, the DNR People’s Militia led a roughly 25-car rally through central Donetsk and along the Yasinovatskoye highway, TASS said.
Organizers said the drive began at the “To Your Liberators, Donbass” memorial before proceeding via Artem Street onto the restored route.
TASS quoted DNR figures presenting the reopened highway and flag as symbols of protection since 2014 and crediting Russia’s Defense Ministry and leadership, claims not independently verified in the reports.
