Donald Trump to Use Two Bibles for Second Inauguration Ceremony

The president-elect will swear in on a Bible gifted by his mother in 1955 and the historic Lincoln Bible on January 20, 2025.

Donald Trump will take the oath of office for his second presidential term on January 20, 2025.
He will use two Bibles for the ceremony: one gifted by his late mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump, in 1955, and the Lincoln Bible, first used in 1861.
The Bible from Trump's mother was given to him upon his graduation from Sunday Church Primary School at First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, New York.
The Lincoln Bible, bound in burgundy velvet, has been used in several historic inaugurations, including those of Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama, and Trump’s first term in 2017.
Due to extremely cold weather, the swearing-in ceremony will be moved indoors to the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.
