Overview
- Industry outlets report that Don Hall has returned to Walt Disney Animation Studios but the claim is based on a single report and has not been confirmed by Disney or Hall.
- The report originates with Drew Taylor at The Wrap and was republished by LaughingPlace and covered by MickeyBlog, which describe Hall as already working on an unannounced project.
- Hall left Disney for Skydance Animation in 2024 and is known for directing Big Hero 6, co‑directing Moana, and leading Raya and the Last Dragon, credits that shape expectations for his work.
- No details have been released about the alleged project, and standard verification steps are expected next, including a studio statement, credits filings, or a direct comment from Hall.
- The move, if verified, would follow a wider pattern of high‑profile animation talent moving between legacy studios and newer rivals and could influence which films Disney prioritizes and the creative teams involved.
