On the Sept. 29 episode of WWE Raw in Raleigh, Dominik Mysterio beat Rusev to keep the Intercontinental Championship after tossing the belt to his opponent, distracting the referee, landing a low blow, and scoring a roll-up.
Rusev entered the title match on a four-bout winning streak that began after his victory over Sheamus at Clash in Paris in August.
With the win, Mysterio’s Intercontinental reign reached 163 days, following earlier defenses against opponents including AJ Styles, Penta, and Octagon Jr.
