Dominik Koepfer, 30, has begun working with Carsten Arriens, the former coach of Jan-Lennard Struff, seeking new strategies and guidance for his career.
Koepfer ended his 2024 season early in October due to an elbow injury sustained during the Olympics, which was initially misdiagnosed.
The player has struggled with injuries throughout the year, including a foot issue in July, and has not played a tournament fully healthy since then.
Ranked 102 in the world after peaking at 49 earlier this year, Koepfer plans to start 2025 at the Challenger tournament in Canberra, where he won in 2024.
For the first time in nearly a decade, Koepfer will celebrate Christmas at home in Furtwangen before traveling to Australia for the new season.
