Domestic Workers to Get September 1% Raise and One-Off Bonuses Under 6.5% Deal

Unions posted reference scales, with employers expected to pay despite the agreement awaiting government homologation.

Overview

  • The final 1% tranche of the sector’s 6.5% package takes effect in September, following 3.5% in June and 1% in July and August.
  • September brings the third non-remunerative bonus, with reference amounts of ARS 4,000 for up to 12 weekly hours, ARS 6,000 for 12–16 hours and ARS 9,500 for more than 16 hours or live-in staff.
  • UPACP published updated reference tables for hourly and monthly minimums by category, which are being used as payment guides while formal approval is pending.
  • Salaries paid in September reflect August work values with the additional 1% applied, and employers are expected to register and manage contributions through ARCA.
  • A mandatory 30% geographic supplement applies automatically in designated unfavorable zones, including La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego and Partido de Patagones.
