Overview

• Ayush Kadam, 13, slipped into an open drain chamber at the Jagdamba Mata area in Devichapada around 10:30 pm on Sunday and was swept away.
• Vishnunagar police and the fire brigade placed a net downstream during heavy rain and recovered his body about an hour later roughly 2 kilometres away.
• Firefighters pulled him out and he was taken to the civic hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
