Dom Taylor Banned From PDC Events as Prize Money Stripped and Ranking Drop Costs Tour Card

The DRA says a December 14 test produced an adverse finding that now moves into a confidential disciplinary process.

£25,000 from the World Championship has been removed from the PDC Order of Merit, leaving Taylor 68th and outside the top 64 that secure a one-year tour card.
The DRA was notified on December 19 of the adverse analytical finding from in-competition testing at Alexandra Palace.
Taylor was withdrawn before his scheduled second-round match, with Jonny Clayton advancing by bye to the last 32.
This follows a 2024 positive test at the Players Championship Finals, where an initial two-year suspension was reduced to one month after a UKAD-approved treatment program.
Taylor issued a public apology acknowledging “blatant lying” and said personal struggles contributed to his situation as he seeks help.
