  • Miami added Cole Strange to the 53-man roster on Tuesday by signing him off Cleveland’s practice squad, according to NFL Network.
  • Right guard James Daniels will miss Sunday’s game with a pectoral injury that coach Mike McDaniel said should sideline him for a couple of weeks.
  • Strange was selected 29th overall by New England in 2022 and started 29 of 30 games for the Patriots before his release this summer.
  • He tore his left patellar tendon late in 2023, spent much of 2024 on the PUP list, and appeared in only three games after a December activation.
  • With the Patriots visiting Sunday, there is a chance Strange could play against his former team as Miami also monitors Austin Jackson’s toe injury and considers depth options Kion Smith, Josh Priebe and Braeden Daniels.
