Dolphins Sign Alexander Mattison to Strengthen Running Back Corps

Alexander Mattison, a 5-foot-11, 220-pound running back, joins the Miami Dolphins on a one-year contract, bringing experience and size to the team.
Mattison has recorded 2,790 rushing yards, 15 touchdowns, and 136 receptions across six NFL seasons with Minnesota and Las Vegas.
The Dolphins struggled in short-yardage situations in 2024, and Mattison has converted 16 of 19 career attempts on third-and-1 or fourth-and-1.
De'Von Achane remains the team's lead running back, with Mattison expected to complement him and second-year back Jaylen Wright in 2025.
Miami also bolstered its roster by signing veteran guard James Daniels, offensive lineman Larry Borom, and wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
