Overview
- ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the in-division move, with Tabor leaving Buffalo for Miami.
- Tabor coordinated the Bills’ special teams in 2025 and previously led units for the Browns, Bears and Panthers, serving as Carolina’s interim head coach in 2023.
- He is the first coordinator named to Hafley’s staff, with Miami’s offensive and defensive coordinator posts still unannounced.
- Miami’s 2025 special teams produced franchise records for Jake Bailey’s net punting and Riley Patterson’s field-goal accuracy yet also allowed multiple long kickoff returns.
- Buffalo, which has not hired a new head coach after firing Sean McDermott, now must replace its special teams coordinator as part of a broader staff reshuffle.
