Dollywood Temporarily Closes Due to Nearby Wildfire

Dollywood, the popular theme park co-owned by country singer Dolly Parton, has temporarily suspended entry due to a nearby wildfire.
The fire, which was reported in Sevier County, was up to five acres large and was 100% contained as of Thursday.
Park officials suspended entry to allow fire crews enough room to assess the blaze, which was roughly two miles away from Dollywood.
Despite the fire, it appears that Dollywood will not be harmed and no injuries have been reported.
The risk of wildfires across the South has remained high due to prolonged dry and warm conditions, prompting multiple burn bans and warnings for residents and visitors to take extreme caution while outdoors.
