Dolly Parton's Life Story Musical to Premiere in Nashville Ahead of Broadway Run

Dolly Parton announced her autobiographical stage musical, 'Dolly: An Original Musical,' will debut in Nashville on July 18, 2025, with an official opening night on August 8.
The musical will run for four weeks at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on Belmont University's campus, concluding on August 17, before heading to Broadway in 2026.
Directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, the production will feature a mix of Parton's classic hits and newly written songs, blending country and Broadway influences.
The cast will include three actors portraying Parton at different stages of her life, reflecting her journey from childhood to stardom, with casting details yet to be finalized.
Belmont University students will participate in the production through the 'Dolly U' program, an immersive educational initiative offering hands-on experience in various aspects of the musical's development.
